The purpose of this site is to promote the clarinet family of instruments through performances and workshops in schools, colleges and other necessary places...

We’re presenting these instruments in modern and traditional - yet creative idioms, by exploring the depths of their musical capability, along with the rich repertoire of sound canvases inevitable with these extraordinary instruments.

Today, good contemporary exponents of the clarinet from every musical genre exist in all countries. Having said this, many people today still struggle to see the influence of the jazz clarinet past the eras of Benny Goodman and Russell Procope - as great and influential as they were. Even with the almighty leaps forward in clarinet playing taken by Eric Dolphy, if not for the work of the likes of Josef Horak, Harry Sparnay and Henri Bok, the bass and contra-bass clarinets would have been overlooked in the classical and contemporary fields as solo instruments for quite a while longer. Bennie Maupin in the “Headhunters” also taught us all something about the funk bass clarinet. The Clarinet has influence as a family of instruments that is highly versatile and formidable, with sonority and a palate of expression beyond ones imagination.
